The Sands at Grace Bay is an oceanfront resort located on six white-sand acres of powder-white sand on Grace Bay Beach, one of most well-known beaches in the Caribbean. The resort is characterized by an air of laid-back sophistication highlighted by an open-air lobby, sweeping paddle fans and overstuffed chairs for the finest tropical comfort.

The resort is comprised of six three-story buildings situated amid a lush garden courtyard caressed by three free-form swimming pools. It is conveniently located just seven miles from Providenciales International Airport and six miles from the center of town. Among other nearby attractions are the Provo Golf Course, the Casa Blanca Casino and two marinas.

Accommodations

The resort features 111 rooms. Accommodations range from studios to suites with one, two and three-bedrooms featuring full kitchens with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances and screened patios. Suites vary in size from 1,000 to 1,600 square feet.

Room Amenities

Studios include mini-fridge, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker and cutlery. All residences offer air-conditioning and ceiling fans, color cable television, in-room electronic safe, direct dial telephone and wifi. Washer & Dryer are included in most ocean view and all garden view studios.

Rooms feature a king or queen bedding configuration. One, two, and three-bedroom suites feature comfortable dining areas and modern kitchens with granite counter tops. Kitchens are equipped with full stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, toaster, coffeemaker and cutlery. All rooms contain in-room washer and dryer including detergent.

Full kitchens in one, two, and three-bedroom suites provide the convenience to prepare any meal. Guests can enjoy a home-cooked meal miles away from home. Grocery shopping is made easy with a daily shuttle service into town with two pick up times. For last-minute snacks, a convenience store is located on the resort property, open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday; 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday.

Hemingway's Restaurant and Bar - Beachside dining is available from 8 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., seven days a week. Enjoy al fresco, casual dining on the deck or open-air patio, virtually steps away from the beach. Island dishes are combined with traditional favorites. Selections range from light fare, gourmet sandwiches and salads to specialty entrées. A decadent dessert menu completes the offering. On Tuesday evenings, Hemingway's hosts Caribbean Night accompanied by live music.

Recreation

Complimentary activities and amenities include non-motorized water sports, tennis, beach-access, fitness facility, and bicycles.

Swimming - The theme of water is reinforced at the resort by 3 free-form pools flowing throughout the central garden courtyard connected by canals. The pools are adorned by a cascading waterfall, a relaxing Jacuzzi and small grottoes. An additional circular swimming pool is beachside. Guests can also enjoy the turquoise waters surrounding the white sand beaches at Grace Bay at this beachfront resort.

Water Sports and Biking - Guests have the opportunity to experience a multitude of water and sport activities courtesy of The Sands at Grace Bay. To fully appreciate what Grace Bay Beach has to offer, The Sands at Grace Bay provides free use of kayaks, windsurfing equipment, snorkel gear and Hobie Cats between 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. All water equipment can be reserved at the Beach Hut. Bicycles are available from 6:00 a.m. until dusk and can be reserved at the front desk.

Scuba Diving - Providenciales is world-renowned for its scuba diving. The healthy barrier reef surrounding the island, the third largest of its kind in the world, is home to millions of corals, tropical fish and other underwater companions - dolphins, hawksbill turtles, manta rays, nurse sharks, and many more. Scuba diving excursions by Ocean Vibes are available and can be arranged directly at the tour desk.

Tennis - Tennis is played on an all-weather court from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and is lit for night play. Racquets are provided when guests reserve their court time at the front desk. Tennis balls are for sale at the resort's convenience store. Private lessons are available to guests who want to improve their game.

Indoor Fitness Gym - Guests who want to stay in shape during holiday can visit the fitness gym daily between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. The gym houses step machines, stationary bikes and treadmills.

Golf - The Sands at Grace Bay is ideally located within a ten-minute drive to the 18-hole, 72-par championship course at Provo Golf Club. The Club has a reputation as one of the best and most challenging golf courses in the Caribbean. A four-tee position system ensures that this course is a challenge for golfers of all calibers. Golf lessons can be arranged by appointment. Twelve-acres of inland lakes and marsh, West Indies-style clubhouse, Fairways Bar and Grill and a Pro Shop make this Club a must-see for avid and curious golfers.

Guests indulge in an array of classic spa specialties such as massages, facials and body wraps. Experienced in various massage techniques including Swedish, Therapeutic, Reflexology and Hot Stone, patrons can choose from existing spa packages and add enhancements to tailor treatments. Couples massage and private treatments in-room are also available. The spa treatments rooms are open from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., seven days a week and treatments are by appointment only.

A boutique-size conference room is available on-premise for small meetings. Audio and visual equipment is available for rental.

Transportation

Airport transfers are available for a fee via taxi. Shuttle service and other forms of transportation are available for a fee to reach the nearby marinas, golf course and other points of interest. Grocery shopping is made easy with shuttle trips to IGA Grocery Store leave the resort at 9:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Reservations can be made at the concierge desk for restaurant dining.
